The Crowne Plaza was most impressive and the rooms are beautifully furnished. The hotel is also just 500m walk from the Metro system and is well placed for transfers to / from the airport, being on this side of the city. A taxi to the Metro in any case is only approx 5 AED.
British guests will no doubt enjoy the "Pub" - which is in fact the Belgian Beer Cafe. Dubai's first, it is one of 66 iconinc Belgian Beer Cafes in 17 countries around the world. Each is renowned for its authentic food, drink and design; giving guests the illusion of being transported back in time and space to early 1920's Belgium.
There is also a super sunbathing area which overlooks the Creek and the Dubai skyline, it is most impressive and very well designed. A mixture of tradition combined with lawns and little secluded areas. I thought it was great and I would stay here.
